2026 Artist Residency Application
Join us as our artist in residence for the week of July 13th-19th 2026. Stay inside “Windy” our vintage 1964 Franklin Camper as well as have access to our guest bedroom, bathroom, laundry, and barn which features studio and greenhouse space. Located just minutes from Lake Michigan, hiking / biking trails, White Lake, and sleepy beach towns of Montague and Whitehall MI, this residency is all about taking time away to create and be inspired, as well as to share your talents with others. Additional space to create and daydream can be found inside our guest bedroom and on our grounds, among the flower or produce gardens, inside our barn, or tucked inside our 5 acre of woods. All meals are provided during your stay as well. The application fee goes towards covering the cost of those meals provided to the artist in residence that is chosen! This is non-refundable and greatly appreciated to help make this an accessible and fulfilling experience for the artist.
What are we requesting in return for your stay?
We require that you teach a 1.5-2 hour course to our guests during our retreat weekend (providing all art materials necessary to create aside from tables, chairs, and aprons that will be provided by us), as well as share about your process and what inspires you to continue onward as an artist. Additionally, we ask that you make a donation to Dreamland in the form of a piece of original art to share with future guests as well as share your experience in the digital realm following your stay here! The original art does not have to be created during your stay here by any means. Feel free to bring something along upon your arrival!
